Sustainability: Waste Reduction Initiatives at STOFIX Group
In 2024, we embarked on a mission to improve waste management within our factory in Poznan, Poland. By collaborating with local waste carriers and recycling plants, we identified opportunities to increase waste segregation and improve the disposal of construction materials. To further enhance our efforts, we invested in a waste compactor capable of creating 1-tonne bales of cardboard or plastic. This reduced the volume of waste and decreased the number of skips required, significantly cutting down road traffic in and out of our facility.
Milestones Achieved
Through these initiatives, we achieved remarkable progress. in 2024, 714 tonnes of waste by-products was recycled.
- 220 tonnes of brick off-cuts, damaged products, and waste sand were crushed and repurposed for use in other construction projects.
- 114 tonnes of steel were recycled and re-entered the market.
- 3.1 tonnes of plastic wrapping were separated and recycled, avoiding landfill disposal.
These figures demonstrate our dedication to minimising waste and maximising the potential for reuse in the construction market.

Our work doesn’t stop here. In 2025, we will continue to focus on reducing waste through factory initiatives and improved product management. This is part of our broader strategy to align our processes with sustainable practices and ensure STOFIX remains at the forefront of environmentally conscious manufacturing.
