Karol Bzdawka, Plant Manager at STOFIX HQ, shares insights into his role, production strategies, and the vibrant culture at the factory in Poland.
How long have you worked with STOFIX?
I’ve worked at STOFIX for the past three years and I’ve been the Plant Manager for the past seven months.
Tell us about your role?
I oversee the production of STOFIX in the Poznan plant, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality standards. I’m currently working on optimising the manufacturing process by implementing new tools and procedures.
How do you ensure production efficiencies at STOFIX?
Over the past few months in my new role, I’ve discovered that the key to production efficiency lies in addressing the fundamental needs of our team. I’ve found that people are inherently eager to work and excel, but often face challenges or lack of information. Proactively tackling these issues boosts motivation among the team, providing them with the necessary resources for enhanced productivity and improved output.
How do you ensure good communication and staff engagement for your team?
As mentioned above – people generally want to do a good job. They want to feel responsible and free in organising their work. I try to give them this freedom, listen to their ideas for improvements, and avoid micromanaging.
Tell us about the culture at STOFIX HQ?
The culture at STOFIX HQ is dynamic and focused on optimising operations and output. As the Plant Manager, I empower individuals to excel by implementing improvements in production. We value open communication, actively listen to staff feedback, and encourage a diverse and equal working environment. Our long-term vision includes increasing capacity as we expand into other European markets. The factory’s output is currently at an all-time high, reflecting significant advancements made in the last seven months through our commitment to innovation and empowerment.
Where do you see the future for STOFIX?
One word – growth!
There is still capacity for improvement in the factory and there is space for growth of STOFIX sales on the market. STOFIX is an modular, pre-pointed efficient system. So the market demand will continue to grow over the coming years.
We’ll take it one step at a time, embracing the journey ahead and seizing the opportunities that come our way.
