Insights from STOFIX Quality Manager, Anna Jankowiak – maintaining the highest product quality and delivering customer satisfaction

Meet our Quality Manager, Anna Jankowiak, as she shares insights into maintaining product excellence and environmental responsibility. From overseeing quality control to fostering a supportive workplace culture, STOFIX remains committed to quality, customer satisfaction and sustainability.
How long have you worked with STOFIX?
“I have been working at STOFIX HQ for eight years. Initially employed as a Quality Engineer, I held this position for three years then I was promoted to Quality Manager.
Tell us about your role?
My role is to ensure that our product meets customer requirements. This responsibility spans from overseeing the quality of incoming raw materials to the final inspection of finished goods before shipping. Collaboration is key in my position, as I work closely with suppliers, customers, and, most importantly, members of our production team. Additionally, I lead a team of two quality controllers who assist in upholding our quality standards throughout the production process.

How does STOFIX ensure the quality of its brick slip products during the manufacturing process?
We begin by sourcing top-tier raw materials, including premium clay products and metal components. Our stringent quality standards are enforced through our quality plan and comprehensive instructions that guide our team through each production stage. Using visual inspections, precise measurements, and skilled workmanship, we ensure that every product meets our high-quality standards. It’s a very detailed process – but one that ensures consistent quality across our production line. We are proud of our ISO9001 and ISO1400 accreditations, a testament to our commitment to excellence.

Are there specific quality control measures in place to maintain consistency?
During production, every panel undergoes rigorous checks. Product quality is measured at 99.8% before our quality control team visually checks each brick slip panel, measures the slips’ position and cleans the edges, leaving no room for compromise. Visual inspections and precise measurements help verify that each brick slip is perfectly positioned and that the mortar is strong and consistent. This attention to detail is critical in maintaining the consistency and reliability of our products.
Can you explain how the production of STOFIX minimises the impact on the environment?
Environmental considerations are integrated into STOFIX’s production processes. We strive to minimise our carbon footprint by focusing on efficient waste reduction, waste management, and reducing emissions.
STOFIX reduced environmental impact in production by focusing on waste segregation with all waste being collected by government-approved companies. We reduce brick and panel scrap by ordering exact quantities and optimising cutting processes.
Tell us about the culture at STOFIX HQ?
At STOFIX HQ, our culture is built on ensuring quality and employee satisfaction. We foster a supportive work environment – undoubtedly a huge reason as to why our staff turnover is so low. STOFIX is a happy workplace. Our commitment to excellence and environmental responsibility is evident in every aspect of our operations – we prioritise waste recycling, maintain stringent quality standards, and ensure employee satisfaction and wellbeing.
Where do you see the future for STOFIX?
I believe STOFIX will continue to emerge as a leader in the pre-pointed facade industry across the whole of Europe as more and more customers leverage the advantages of our system”.
